Kite Videos

Team Cutting Edge - from left to right Rick Wolcott, Jim Barber, Jerry Cannon. Two time world sport kite champions (now retired).
R.A.W. Power - Reid and Rick Wolcott. Five time pairs national champions (now retired).

Many people I talk to are not familiar what I do with my kite flying. The easiest way to understand it is to see videos of it. Below you will find links to videos you can view on your computer. It may take a while to bring up the videos. Most of them are 20 MB or larger. If you don't have high speed internet access you may want to download the files. This will put the videos on your computer and look at them over and over without waiting a long each time you want to view them.

There is a video of Rick and Reid flying as the pair called "R.A.W. Power" (the R.A.W. comes from our initials). There are two videos of Team Cutting Edge (Rick, Jim Barber and Jerry Cannon).

The Passing of Rick's Mother

On Sat. Aug. 11th we got word that Rick's mother had passed away after a long slow decline. She was 92 years old. We flew to Wis. early Monday morning. Her funeral was Wed. Aug 15th. We flew Ashley up for the funeral, but Reid's work schedule would not allow him to attend.

These photos are taken at the reception after the funeral. Pictured here are Steve "Doc" Rumage, Rick's niece Becky and her husband Calvin Gatch III, and Jan Forman. We hadn't seen Becky in 17 years. It was wonderful to see her and catch up on all the news.

Here is the reception that Diane and Eileen put together. Pictured is Ashley, Tim and Diane Murphy (Diane is Rick's cousin) and you can almost see Jody, their daughter.
Diane and Jan took great care of Rick's mom for us these past few years and we owe them a great debt of gratitude.

This is Mary and Lenny Stalker. They live next door to the farm where Rick grew up. When Rick's mother moved out to live with us, Lenny purchased the farm. They have always been great friends and helped her over the years. And their friendship has continued with us.

We hope to see all our family and friends in the future in Wis. and have them come see us in Utah.

We want to thank everyone for their help and support in this trying time.

Latest News on New House

Got word that they are painting the inside of the house the correct color now, along with the colors we are buying for the two extra bedrooms and the living room/dining room. The electrician is to start this week also. The appliances have arrived but aren't delivering them so they "won't walk away". We found the pendant lights we wanted for the kitchen island and sent the to SLC and they have them now for the electrician.

July 21st Trip to California

Last week Eileen went to Calif. to visit her mother and sister Susan. She had a good visit. Janna, along with her two daughters, Raelena and Casey also flew out. Aaron picked them up at the Sacramento Airport and drove them down. He was only able to stay for a day but we all really enjoyed seeing him again.
This is Melanie's youngest, Megan. She is almost 3 months old here. Melanie also drove down with her two children to visit and to get a four generation picture with Mother.

Mark and Michelle came over Thursday to pick up the old green trailer to go camping. This is their family. Joey, Ryan and Hannah. Hannah turned one on Sat.
Really had a good visit with everyone.
Rick left this weekend to go see his mother. She had a fall this past week and is not doing so well. They will probably start hospice now. He'll be back late Monday.
