Another Update on Castle Valley House

Eileen flew to Utah on the 4th of July and then drove to Castle Valley with Scott and Madison on the 5th. The garage materials were being delivered and so Oakwood Homes also planned a walk thru to get started on any things that might be wrong. This is the house as it sits on the property.


This photo was taken out of the living room window. You can now see why we wanted to move here. What a view to wake up to every day!

The photo was taken out of the kitchen window. It's not bad either. This is Porcupine Rim. There is a trail up to this for 4 wheel drives and you can drive across it. Which Rick plans to do some day.

You can also see our well capped off in the foreground. They are to start the interior work next week and also get going on the utilities. However, with temps. in the 100's not sure how much will get done. That is what is slowing the exterior work.

Two Time World Champions Team Cutting Edge Reunion

This weekend, Jerry and Marcia Cannon came out to Ocean Shores so that Team Cutting Edge could have a reunion before we move to Utah. The weather was great and a good time was had by all. It didn't take long for the guys to get back into form. They spent Sat. working on their precision and Sunday they did the ballet. It only took a couple of times through before they were back into form and could have competed and won.

The town has put this sign at the entrance so before we went to dinner Sat. night, the guys (Rick, Jim Barber, and Jerry) put on the shirts we "The Trophy Wives" (Eileen, Monica Barber and Marcia) had bought for them to wear when they won the first World Championship, and we took their pictures by it.

Here the kites are in a refuel position. The kites are actually inside each others lines and move as one. They even do a landing like this. To our knowledge, no other team has done this. It is really something to see and not easy to execute.

We will really miss these "our best friends" when we move so am glad they had told us they will come visit us and of course, we will be back to visit them.
